Shamanism is the most ancient and universal of sacred healing practices spanning 60,000 years and many diverse cultures throughout the world. Such longevity and wide-sweeping use suggests powerful tools of healing and being in the world. In this class, we'll take a closer look at shamanism, who shamans are, how they come to be shamans, and what they do.
We'll also look at the shamanic worldview. The underlying assumptions inherent in the worldview of most forms of shamanism, such as "everything is alive" and "we are in relationship and connected to all," leaves us feeling more connected to ourselves, the earth and all that is around us if we can but embrace these truths.
